Materials Required

* Group of children * A blackboard with daily schedule * Open cemented place where one can easily draw and write. * An adult to conduct activity

Method

  • A schedule is put up on the blackboard indicating times like: 
  • Brush your teeth: 7:00am, 
  • Dress Up : 7:45 am, 
  • Breakfast: 8:00 am, 
  • School: 8:45am, 
  • Back From School: 3:45pm and so on. 
  • Clocks with the time drawn in the clock with minute hand and hour hand.
  • The adult tells the children that as the time is called out, the child has to go to the appropriate clock. Ex: At breakfast time the child has to go stand in the clock that shows 8:00 am.
  • The adult calls out each child’s name and calls out the time.
  • The child failing has to leave the game and watch as others play.
  • The game continues till one is left or children desire to play( more rounds can be played)

How Does It Help

* Children learn to be alert and notice things. * They learn to read time. * They learn to coordinate routine with time.
